Video Production Specialist: July 2013 - Present
ARM is the world's leading semiconductor IP supplier and is the heart of the development of digital electronic products. ARM’s technology is in use in 95% of smart phones, 80% of digital cameras, and 35% of all electronic devices. I joined ARM in July 2013 after I finished my degree. I work alongside the marketing team who work on video, graphics and animation. At ARM no two days are the same, I spend time filming, editing, producing and publishing video and marketing content. I also spend time creating motion graphics in Motion and After Effects. My work is shown to 1000’s of people worldwide at conferences such as TechCon, internal events such as ARM’s Annual Partner Meeting and also on the external YouTube site, ARMflix. As well as working on external marketing content, I spend significant time facilitating ARM employees, filming training days and ‘Lunch and Learns’ to then distribute to the company as a whole. This position is giving me a chance to work on my filming and post-production techniques. ITV POOL MEMBER: In January 2012, I was one of the successful candidates from the ITV workshops to make it into the Experience Pool where we have access to all kinds of ITV work experience. I'm very grateful and excited to be involved! May 2012 - Present - Producer - Abbey Road Documentary Every year Southampton Solent University awards a special band the chance to record a chosen song at the infamous Abbey Road Studios. In order to make the memories last forever, Solent Creatives hired me and a collegue to create a series of documentaries covering their time at Abbey Road. Current: Video Producer - Naomi House This year a friend and I have teamed up with the Naomi House children’s hospice in Winchester to do our bit for charity. We will be creating a few videos to help the charity can fundraising revenue. It’s a great charity and a rewarding project to be involved in. May 2012 - September 2012 - Production Assistant - ARM Working alongside the ARM TV team creating corporate and creative video pieces. My worked screened to 900+ people at the Annual Partner Meeting. Tools: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Wirecast, Canon XF305, 5D Mark III Tasks include; Shooting and editing films within ARM's house style and themes. Taking footage filmed at trade shows and creating video montages for YouTube and screens in reception of the Cambridge offices. Travelling to and working with ARM's partners to create thought leadership pieces. Filming training courses and conferences for ARM's internal Youtube channel. Planning and producing videos according to project briefs set by managers. Using After Effects to animate logos and images for corporate events. Learning how to use new cameras, software and codecs to my advantage. March 2012 - May 2012 - Producer Contra Image Helping produce a promotional film for the Two Saints homeless charity based in Hampshire. General producing duties including, organising filming, producing call sheets and release forms. March 2012 - Junior ITV - Surprise Surprise In March 2012 I spent a week with ITV London working on the relaunch and rebranding of Surprise Surprise with Holly Willoughby. Worked with a small production team. Brainstorming and team briefings and meetings. Preparing promotional materials for mailing. Researching companies and community centres that would be interested in the show. Creating databases. February 2012 - BBC's Big Questions - Runner For a weekend in February I was selected to be a runner for the Live BBC's Big Questions show produced by Mentorn Media. My duties involved looking after the VIP Front Row guests in the Green Room, making sure they had everything they needed, as well team briefings and setting up the room the day before. Also generic running tasks such as fetching newspapers and coffee from nearby shops. November 2011 – Flame TV – Runner In November 2011 I was selected as one of the few to work for Flame TV as a runner on their BBC series, sadly University commitments meant I could not take part in the placement, but there are plans to work with them on the project in the future. November 2011 – Solent Productions – OB Camera Operator In November 2011 I worked with Solent Productions on the Graduation ceremonies. I worked as a live OB camera operator.
October 2011 – Wessex Cancer Trust – Video Producer In October 2011 I was asked to organise and produce a shoot to capture Wessex Cancer Trust’s 30th Birthday celebratory dinner of achievements.
August 2011 – RG Racing – Video Producer In August 2011 I was hired privately to produce a series of videos for a karting race team through the work they’d seen on my YouTube Channel.
July & August 2011 – ARM - Camera Op, Editor and Production Assistant In July and August 2011, I spent a total of four weeks with ARM in their corporate production division (ARM TV).

2011 – Glastonbury – Live Camera Operator
I spent six days this year working at Glastonbury Festival with Solent Productions producing live OB videos of the Leftfield stage.
March 2011 – Diegesis Magazine – Writer In march 2011 I was asked to write a piece for the Diegesis magazine which was a retrospective of Elizabeth Taylor, the piece itself and the link to the piece in the magazine can be found on my website. January 2011 - Talent South - Assistant co-ordinator and researcher I took two weeks work experience with TV Talent South where I was an assistant researcher and co-ordinator for their latest crime documentary “Fred Dinenage: Murder Casebook”.
